Signed Harlem Globetrotters Ball, up for auction for “Il Ponte del Sorriso” hospital project

The Harlem Globetrotters are genuine basketball artistes, not simple basketball players. For them, the ball is a plaything that they use to astound, to impress, … and to play, of course. The team is greatly awaited, especially by the young people, the budding players, who dream of being able to handle the ball with great skill. The appointment is for 10 May, at the PalaWhirpool, in Varese, and the advance sales are already a sign of the popularity of these sportsmen.

After the collaboration with the magnificent Ignis team, and the return to Varese of Manuel Raga, an old favourite, the CTBO (a committee protecting children in hospital) is again joining up with basketball, to promote the message of solidarity. The CTBO volunteers have managed to get all of the basketball players to put their signatures on a ball, which will now be put up for auction to collect money for the building of the new hospital for children and mothers, on the site of the “Del Ponte” Hospital.

 The starting bid is €150, and offers can be made on eBay, where the ball can also be bought directly, for €450. The CTBO volunteers are appealing to the fans of basketball and solidarity to score again this time.
