Elisabetta Ballarin<\/span><\/b>, who is in prison for the crimes linked to the satanic group, the “Beasts of Satan”, has requested a pardon from Italy’s Head of State, Giorgio Napolitano<\/b>. The young woman is being held in Verziano Prison, and is serving a sentence of 24 years and 3 months. The letter requesting the pardon has been signed by the association “Associazione Carcere e Territorio” of Brescia, and by the city’s Mayor, Adriano Paroli<\/b> (PdL). In the local newspaper, “Giornale di Brescia”, on Saturday 20 April, the Mayor explained, “What she did can’t be cancelled, but she was just a teenager, in the wrong company. Even though this is no justification, I think this is one of those cases, in which the approach of recovery will work. On occasion, I’ve met her at the Academy, but those who know her assure me she’s a different person. And I think that anyone who makes a mistake at such a young age should be given a second chance. Even though she is still guilty.” Elisabetta Ballarin is now in semi liberty, and last autumn, she graduated from the “Santa Giulia Academy of Fine Arts” in Brescia.
