{"id":777624,"date":"2018-12-13T12:37:58","date_gmt":"2018-12-13T11:37:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.varesenews.it\/?p=777624"},"modified":"2018-12-13T12:37:58","modified_gmt":"2018-12-13T11:37:58","slug":"voluntary-work-and-education-the-council-rewards-those-who-work-hard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.varesenews.it\/2018\/12\/voluntary-work-and-education-the-council-rewards-those-who-work-hard\/777624\/","title":{"rendered":"Voluntary work and education: the council rewards those who work hard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On Thursday, 13 December<\/strong>, there will be an event dedicated to rewarding civic merit and engagement in the council chamber in Villa Aliverti, in Vedano Olona.<\/p>\n<p>The event, during which <strong>scholarships, named in honour of Cosimo Conterno and Pier Giorgio Larroux<\/strong>, will be given to students who have proven to be deserving, will start <strong>at 5:30 p.m.<\/strong>: in total, five scholarships, of \u20ac500, \u20ac300 and \u20ac200, will be given out to students in the fourth and fifth years of high school, and in professional schools in Vedano Olona.<\/p>\n<p>Then, <strong>commendations will be given to volunteers<\/strong> who have distinguished themselves, particularly, for their contribution to the community of Vedano: this year, the council have decided to acknowledge <strong>Paolo H\u00e9nin<\/strong> (the Chairman of AVIS Vedano Olona), <strong>Carla Quaresima<\/strong> (an activist in Caritas), <strong>Mirta Rossi<\/strong> (a trainer and manager of \u201cGinnastica Aurora\u201d) and in memory of <strong>Domenico Saligari<\/strong> (a volunteer).<\/p>\n<p>The grand finale will be the handing out of civic merit awards to three important figures in the community: the entrepreneur <strong>Secondo Luigi Vailati<\/strong>, and <strong>Gianni Corsolini<\/strong>, a corporate and sports executive for important brands, together with his wife <strong>Mara Simoni<\/strong>, who is greatly involved in voluntary work in Vedano Olona.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Civic merit awards, commendations to the most active volunteers, and five scholarships to the most deserving students, will be given out on Thursday, 13 December, in the council chamber.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1026,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[44],"tags":[3495,14307,82044,89987,82043,549],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.1 -
