Masnago Castle filled with balls

The second episode has take place of the evocative “spherical” group exhibition, which examines the fascinating shape in depth, from the viewpoint of painters and sculptors, of literature and poetry. This time was from the architects’ perspective.

There was a real crowd, like those of “great cultural events”, that accompanied the second episode of ArtParty, which took place on 10 April, at 6 pm. This journey, with a set theme, into the fine arts of Varese, reproduced this sector in all of its facets, and while, in the first episode, painters and sculptors were involved, this time, there were 42 architectural projects, created, again, on spheres that were 90 cm in diameter, designed and made by 42 architects from this Province, in an interesting and unpredictable dialogue between art and architecture; anything from scale models to finished pieces, the results of the technique of every architect, who applied the most suitable materials.

Those celebrating this second episode (which was hosted by the mayor, Attilio Fontana, the chairman of the association “Liberi Artisti della Provincia di Varese”, Marcello Morandini, and the architect Riccardo Blumer) included many involved in the local culture, some of whom will be involved in the third episode on 24 April, at 6 pm, where the work of 40 photographers and 40 writers/poets from this Province will be presented. The photographers will create a photographic project around a 90 cm-diameter sphere. The 40 writers and poets will also take the theme of the sphere to base their short original works.
