Appeal to the thief: “My daughter’s salvation is in that computer.”
An inhabitant of Cardano has sent a message to the person who, last Friday, stole his portable computer from his suitcase, which was on a plane bound for Bari. “Please, just give me my hard disk back, it contains vital information for my daughter.”
“Give back the computer you stole from me; it contains information that is very important for my daughter’s life.” Michele P., an inhabitant of Cardano, north of Milan, is asking the thief who stole his portable computer to hear the appeal of a father who has a sick, seven-month-old daughter; the girl was affected by a health problem at birth, which has still not been resolved.
“The hard disk of that computer contains vital information for my daughter; I just want that back, I don’t care about the rest.” The theft happened last Friday, probably as the luggage was being loaded into the hold of the Air One plane, which left Malpensa’s Terminal 1 for Bari, at 5 pm. “I had come back from work, and I put the computer and other things in the case, which was loaded into the plane’s hold,” Michele P says. “My wife, my daughter and I went on board calmly, convinced that nothing like this could happen. Now I’m desperate.”
He only noticed the theft when he opened the case at his parents’ house. “I didn’t imagine they could steal things from my case while it was in the airport, so, when I got it back, I didn’t check it immediately. Then, when I realized, I went back to the airport to file a complaint. Air One made me fill in a form, but I also went to the Malpensa Border Police, because it was there that someone must have stolen it, as they have scanners to check inside the cases.”
The hope is that the message somehow reaches the intended person. Michele P. has also made his mobile phone number (3497523304) available, so that he can be contacted by the thief, or by someone that can give him useful information. “I don’t care about getting everything back, I only want the hard disk with the clinical files, and all of the addresses and contacts of the doctors that have treated my daughter.”
