The tenth edition of Cortisonici is starting

Cortisonici starts again and it reaches the desired goal of the ten editions and on this occasion the festival returns to its usual collocation of the beginning of spring (March 19^th-23^rd 2013). The first step of this edition is the launch of the international competition for short films, reserved to pieces made from January 1^st 2012 with the maximum running time of 15 minutes. Organizers expect to intercept, like in the previous editions, some of the Italian short films of higher quality produced during 2012, in order to place side by side to a selection that is more and more international, maybe adding other countries to those represented in the previous nine years of competition: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, South Korea, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Iran, Ireland, Mozambique, Holland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary.

After 10 years of work and several focuses dedicated to foreign cinematography, the partners abroad whom Cortisonici will ask for help to select the 20 works which we hope will fill spectators with enthusiasm (last year 7,500 people) are many: ECAM, the authority which deals with the diffusion of short films promoted by the Consejeria de Cultura y Turismo from the Community of Madrid, KIMUAK, agency for the short film promotion of the Basque Country, the film club Vida of Buenos Aires, the Hamburg media school, the film library of Budapest, the Italian cinema festival IAFF of Seoul, South Korea. The organizers hope to have also this year an author coming from our territory who can compete for the award of 1,000 Euros put up as a prize by the organizers. The films which have been sent but not selected for the international competition could eventually access to the more and more prestigious Inferno section, where there are all the most extreme and experimental films sent to the festival administration. The deadline for the submission entry is on December 20^th 2012. The selections for this festival do not stop at the Italian short film competition: in a few days the announcement Cortisoniciragazzi, only for the works which have been realised in scholastic and educational contests, will be presented.
