The bells return to the bell tower
Five bells, dated 1854, return after the restoration work. An intervention deeply wanted in view of the consecration of the church the next 16 March
After the big celebration for the return of the bells in the town, today they were installed onto the bell tower. The five bells, dated 1854, returned to stand out in Cazzago Brabbia after the careful restoration work of the Fratelli Pagani firm, the same that installed the bells on the top of the bell tower and made them start to play again with a wider range of sounds (pentatonic scale) and, above all, with the guarantee that even after lots of years they won’t break again.
An intervention deeply wanted and funded from the community (first of all oratory and summer tournament of football) and from the big institutional authorities: the Community Foundation of the province of Varese, the Ubi Banca Fondation agency of Bodio Lomnago, the BCC Foundation of Busto Garolfo and Buguggiate agency of Bodio Lomnago and the “Amerigo Ponzellini” Agency. They collected a total of 56 thousand, for the intervention on the bells, and 70 thousand if you consider all the interventions made in total in preparation for the consecration of the church the next 16 March 2014.
