Here comes the “Riparty”, a month of games characterized by creative re-use
A month of games, events and initiatives to focus on sustainability as the response to the crisis
It is a month of celebration dedicated to the environment in order to learn how to respect what surrounds us; this is “Riparty”, a container of events and initiatives to look at environmental sustainability as the response to the crisis, and it has been organized, from 16 January to 16 February in Busto Arsizio, thanks to the cooperation between the Municipality of Busto Arsizio, the Trade Districts of Busto Arsizio and Medio Olona, the Trade Association, and the Province of Varese.
The initiative will start on 16 January 2014 at 11 o’clock with the presentation of the exhibition “MOSTRA RI COME…” learning and playing with rubbish, that has now reached its seventh leg at the Palace Marliani Cicogna palace , 2 Vittorio Emanuele II Square, Busto Arsizio.
The aim of the travelling exhibition is to foster awareness and develop shared ideas on critical consumption, reduction, recovery and recycling of litter.
During the weekend, together with the exhibition, many activities for children and adults will be organized in the town centre in San Giovanni Square, by the operators from the Re Mida Varese organization: there will be laboratories, demonstrations and meetings on virtuous sustainable activities and eco-innovation for local development with the aim of bringing the inhabitants nearer to the very theoretical concept of sustainable development through practical actions.
It will be possible, via reservation, for primary and secondary schools, to participate in several free didactic activities which include an itinerary consisting of the guided tour of the exhibition “MOSTRA RI COME” and the laboratories of Re Mida Varese in San Giovanni Square.
The real novelty of the manifestation is “RI VENDITE”, that is the involvement of the Busto Arsizio and Olona Valley businesses that, from 1 February, will promote a concrete message of sustainable and alternative development from a green economy viewpoint; their actions will be simple, but virtuous for litter reduction and the respect of the environment.
Actually the aim is that of creating on the area a network of green businesses that insert and maintain in their daily activity some virtuous sustainable actions.
