Let’s give ourselves a future

The 141tour starts again. It does with a new project that derives from  listening to the various communities met between 20th May and 9th November last year.

We have divided the province into ten areas, and we have organised ten evenings that we follow the stages among the various communes. We start 31st January in Luino (on the right the draft of the poster of the first meeting) and we finish in Varese 4th April. Every Friday at 20.45, with the exception of the stage around the Varese Lake which will take place Thursday 13th February.

All of the appointments will have a common thread. "Lets give ourselves a future! The communes of the Varese Province of the 141tour in Expo 2014. From local to global to relaunch our lands" is the rather long title that we have chosen for this project.

The core idea is once again listening to the communities in order to try to understand what is happening, and what chances there are for the territorial system. We don’t have the ambition of knowing everything in a couple of hours, but we can contribute to realise a painting that stimulates a reflection that goes beyond the simple encounter.

Every evening, as we have already experimented at the end of the 141tour, will see as protagonists 15 people that in a few minutes will speak of their experiences. The relators will be preceded by a short presentation and then they will share some aspects of the territory. A mix of voices between administrators, entrepreneurs, associations, cultural realities and others who will give us an idea of the excellence of our province.

Varesenews will proceed the evening with a live blog realised between the communes of the area. A useful container for having a series of references and to allow the citizens to report things, to make proposals, ask questions and to participate actively to the construction of the narration of that territory. Together with this innovative instrument we will share articles, photo galleries, and activity on the main social networks.

We are convinced that many interesting aspects can emerge and above all it is possible to put on the net the various realities, allowing all citizens to be protagonists in the listening just like the proposals.
