Vinyl does not lose its “shine”

A lot of people visited the “Mostra mercato del disco e del cd” on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th in the racetrack of Varese. There were real musical rarities on show

There were real rarities. You only had to go near the stalls and ask to have real musical “gems” in your hands: a Pink Floyd record with unobtainable Italian print, the red disc of Rino Gaetano, “Stagioni” of Guccini or something of the very young De André. And also, musical support of every age and place of origin, Japanese prints or dvd of historic international concerts. The “Mostra mercato del disco e del cd” has measured up to its expectations even this time. Organised by the association “Area96”  twice a year, its twenty-first exhibition attracted music lovers not only from Varese.

“It was very good,” explained Rocco, the organiser of the event. “Even this time, we attracted about a thousand people in a weekend. The public is very interested in vinyl records and the exchange of musical rarities between exhibitors and customers has been revived.”

This was an exhibition that this year “has gone out” from the racetrack of Varese and has come to the Internet, where Area96 created a web site in which it is possible to find news about the exhibitions in the province, in addition to collecting all musicians of this area in the ‘Net. Therefore, we remind you that the association has showed the desire to support the emerging artists of this zone, in different occasions, with the production of their discs. Did you lose this exhibition? No problem, the winter edition of 2010 has been already planned.
