Cable railway and buses, finally you can

Dear Sir.

I’m writing this letter to report, if you are interested, a news story that I think deserves visibility on VareseNews.

Today (Saturday March 21) I took the Sacro Monte cable railway, and with great pleasure I noticed that the ticket prices for the urban bus and the cable railway, have been integrated. In practice, anyone that has a valid ticket (in town, 90 minute duration, subscription of any type, regional pass “Io Viaggio”, etc.) can use the cable railway without having to purchase additional tickets. This allows the cable railway to be fully exploited, without having to pay two tickets, which is what happened until 2014.

Unfortunately, the news was not publicised  enough, and even the drivers of city buses were not aware of it. I hope my reporting this is appreciated.I’ve attached two pictures that show the signs that confirm the above information, which were taken at the top and bottom stations of the cable railway.

Obviously those who do not want to use the bus can continue to purchase a reduced ticket (1 Euro instead of 1.40).
