Eight new graduates in Language Mediation Sciences

The time has come for the degrees to be presented at the University Institute of “Language Mediation Sciences”. On Wednesday, 24 February, eight students will present their final theses to complete their university studies. The Winter Session of Degree Presentations for the Academic Year 2009-2010 will be held in the Great Hall of the Institute. 

As always, the theses that will be presented cover the most varied of topics, including translations, linguistics, language globalisation, and a study of British and American terms introduced into Italian that do not have Italian equivalents. 

The eight students will present the following topics, using various approaches. 

Bielli Maria Cristina – “Storybook marriage”

Chiesura Alessia – “Glossary of traditional Japanese clothing”

Criscimanni Elena – “I killed Giovanni Falcone – the confession of Giovanni Brusca”

Crocco Valentina – “Ethnographic realia – analysis of British and American cultural specific terms”

Ferrario Michela – “Dialecte lombard: voyage dans ses origines françaises”

Fontana Ilaria – “Le verlan, l’argot des jeunes dans la France du XXI ème siècle”

Galbaiti Federica – “American reborn – a twentieth-century narrative in twenty-six lives”

Pollastro Monica – “Too much happiness”
