A map against littering

The agreement came after 58 days of negotiations. The selection will be on a voluntary basis; in Varese Province, about 150 bank workers, out of a total of 1100, will be affected. Two hundred and forty new permanent contracts planned.

It was started by the Bizzozzero’s hairdresser Massimo Crippa the protest that sees him and many shopkeepers of the area working in their underpants. “ It is all that we have after paying taxes.”

The Catholic Church “takes the field”: shops should be closed on Sundays

Confesercenti and the Italian Episcopal Conference (IEC) have launched a signature-collecting campaign called “Libera la domenica” (Let’s free Sunday) in order to change the law on liberalization of the shops’ opening hours. Monsignor Franco Agnesi says, “this campaign concerns everybody’s dignity.” In Varese 110 signatures have been collected in one hour.

A notification by the Provincial Council in Varese has allocated €164,895, directly provided by the Ministry of Labour. The trade unions CISL and ANOLF said, ″It will enable us to act concretely in order to dismantle a system, which is often irregularly managed because of the ignorance and the fear to face unsustainable costs.″
